That feeling is what defines my style of photography. I want to create a photo gallery that makes you feel something. Photos that flow with the rest of your family photos as your baby grows.
The goal with every newborn session is to document a little time capsule of life with your new baby, the perfection of their tiny details, and, more importantly, to bring you back to how you felt when your baby was small enough to curl onto your chest. It all goes by so fast.
"We had such a calm and positive experience having her come to our home - which wasn't an easy task with newborn twins and two hyper golden retrievers! Kim did an amazing job capturing our family." Grace
Sessions include the whole immediate family, including pets. Grandparents in town? Count them in if you'd like!
My style has always gravitated towards natural which means your photos will always be timeless. My goal is to create art that will flow with the rest of your photos and withstand trends that come and go.
No baby origami or multiple props. These sessions are all about the details of your newborn and the authentic connections.
"Kim made us feel comfortable and focused on natural poses that showcased who we are as a family. She was so friendly, professional, and we had so much fun! The pictures are PHENOMENAL and better than we could have ever hoped! She captured us so perfectly and we are so glad we have such great pictures of our new family to cherish for years to come.

I book your due date as a floating space on my calendar and we set the firm date once you deliver.

Storytelling looks different for every family. I don't watch a clock because we move on baby's time, but you can expect a natural flow of 90-120 minutes for newborns. We take as many breaks for changes and feeding as we need and you'll see, there's a natural end. Never rushed and never too long.

Absolutely not! I find many of my clients come to me because they want laid back portraits that look like their newborn without focus on props. I photograph babies at ANY age but my "newborn" portfolio above consists of babies 1 to 8 weeks. After that is still fantastic. It's never too late, they just may be more alert than sleepy, which I love.
I fully guarantee my work, but let me elaborate here. If your baby is super fussy and we just can't make it work that day, we'll wrap it up, get you back newborn snuggles and I'll come back another day. Easy as that. It's only happened once in over 16 years for babies who really were just having an off day, but the option is there should we need it.
I save the best question for last. This is almost everyone's concern and I really enjoy showing people how little it matters the day of the session.
I have photographed families in all types of homes. From a single room in a tiny apartment, to sprawling mansions that were immaculately decorated. I can tell you 100% it doesn't matter. We can use as much or as little of your home as you'd like. If you have great decor, awesome, we can include tiny bits. Nothing at all on the walls because you just moved in? Great! We have lots of white backgrounds and simplicity! Truth be told, we spend a lot of time near windows and I will guide you before the session as what to expect. No need to fully clean or prep, it's a lot easier than you think.
