Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Hey there! If you’ve landed here, you’ve stumbled on my blog and I’m so glad you did! My name is Kim and I’m a newborn and family photographer serving the Greater Baltimore area, Annapolis and DC. Pretty much most of Maryland. As a Baltimore area lifestyle newborn photographer, my job is to document a little snippet of this time in your home with a new baby. I come from a background of photographing newborns and families in studios for many years. 17 to be exact! I switched over to in-home lifestyle photography a few years ago and haven’t looked back! What I love the most about lifestyle newborn photography is that no in-home newborn session is the same. Even though I may do many of the same natural poses at each session, they always feel different because every baby IS so different. The dynamic of your family, the clothes you wear, your baby’s personality, and even the colors in your home can all impact the mood and feel of a session. With that said, some things will stay the same.

The connections.

The joy.

The smiles and belly laughs.

The love. 

These things will always remain timeless and are elements that I will document in every lifestyle newborn or family session. My goal is to capture all of the little things I wished I had documented with my own babies as they grew. 

In-home lifestyle newborn photography sessions always include the entire immediate family, and pets too if you wish. I center my photography style based around the connections you share, but also aim to capture the little details of your new baby that are so fleeting. The tiny toes, furry little shoulders filled with downy newborn hair that will fall out before you even really document it. I’ll document their wrinkly little foreheads and even a cry if I happen to capture it because the way they crinkle their nose is so adorable.

And before you even give two seconds to worrying about if an in-home session is right for you, just know, we can use as much or as little of your home as you desire. If you don’t want your home included, we’ll stay close to windows, and document closeness. I love that just the same, if not more.
