Falls Church Newborn PhotographerÂ
Did you know that although I am listed as a Baltimore Maryland newborn and family photographer, that I also travel to areas in Northern Virginia? I recently met with this beautiful Virginia family for a newborn session in their gorgeous home. Falls Church Virginia is only an hour from my home in Catonsville, and I don’t add travel fee’s to come to you when it’s an hour or less. No, not even with the current gas situation. 😉
I know it gets a bit redundant to keep posting about how much I love what I do, but it’s true. I showed up to their home on a beautiful weekday morning and couldn’t have asked for a better family. Mom did such a great job styling everyone and the colors she picked flowed so well with their home decor.
When you book a session, one of the things I talk about in your prep guide is to consider your home decor and style when choosing clothing for your photo session. Look around in the rooms where you think you may display some of your photos and pull colors from the area. Is your home decorated with bright white and clean lines? Then you may want to consider lighter more neutral clothing. If your home is decorated in deeper colors, then jewel tones may be great for everyone to wear.
A glimpse into Sutton’s Falls Church newborn session
Now, back to sweet Sutton and her family. Often when I arrive, the parents need a bit more time to get themselves ready, or mom is finishing nursing the baby. When there is a sibling involved, that usually leaves me alone with a curious big brother or sister. This makes for the perfect time to capture some of just your other child!
I like to capture some of just the other children as well because this is such a big milestone for them too. I approach newborn sessions similar to family sessions and like to focus on everyone as a unit, but also individually. I also believe that having images of the family in similar lighting makes for a nice cohesive wall gallery.
So, we started with miss Maisie….
And now baby Sutton was fed, dressed and ready for her debut in front of the camera.
Thanks for inviting me into your home S family!
